Who We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals, often practicing teachers, who seek to deepen their expertise as literacy teachers while developing their skills as coaches, supervisors, coordinators and leaders in literacy instruction. Graduates of this program serve as resources for teachers and administrators as they work to design, implement and evaluate reading programs. As expert practitioners, they also teach and advocate for students who struggle with reading.

The program(s) leading to certification as a Remedial Reading/Language Arts teacher or Reading Consultant are accredited based on the leadership and coaching standards of the International Reading Association.
